"The rate of pay doesn't compensate for the amount and level of work required. Systems are old and out dated and do not aid in metrics that all are expected to meet. No assistance from leads or other close management roles. No management assistance from Friday at 3 pm until Monday at 8 am for escalation, and to many law suits that you are required to lie for."

"work hours never end. expected to stay 15 hrs plus. so that salary becomes less than assistant. if you had one. after establishing store and inc sales upper mangement never tolerated lower sales. dont get sick or need surgery. physical work how many boxes do you lift off delivery truck than into customer at 80lbs each to make 300k a month. upper mgmt never satisfied. after they went public they systematically fired all managers in NEAST. they used a outside HR firm to show them how to screw u out of unemployment . they were allowed to sit w judge while we were on the phone defending self. the TAX on vested stock they handed out was paid by emplotee as income but then never given upon term employmant."

"Micromanagement. Hit your goal; guaranteed it'll be significantly higher next month...and it'll stay there. If you have a great month, leave. Constant additional re-layering of upper middle, upper mgmt means you'll have to produce more for a restructured pay plan (read you'll earn less) despite making the co more money."

"To paraphrase a few fun times: Here are your job requirements. They take more than 40 hours to complete. You are hourly and not allowed overtime. Figure it out. These are my favorite employees. They can schedule PTO whenever they want. You need to follow this 12+ step process to get time off for one day a month in advance. As you complete each step another arbitrary step will be added. No you can't have a day off. "I don't give a **** what you have planned." It was Christmas Eve. I was already there after 5."

"Personal time off may be a benefit but you can never really take it in a smaller store, especially when the turnover is so high two people are expected to cover all the hours until the manager (2nd person) gets around to hiring someone. You never have a weekend off. There is allot of finger pointing. The blame game is rampant. No matter how much you do its never enough. Saw honest hard working guys canned so management could place their cronies in a job. Get ready to be "coached or written up for the most ridiculous things. I have had personal papers. I.e. doctors excuse etc left on the sales counter for days as well as customer credit apps. Don't sign a coaching form either without your own signed copy in hand. Information can and will be added to it after the fact."

"No home life. Favoritism is in regardless of what you know. If you suck regional managers shaft and back stab other.store,s managers you are safe and a sacred cow. No pto for just any manager but if you are one of the sacred cows you can take of whenever. Especially during biggest events of the year. Very age racist if you are over 35 good luck getting promoted regardless of how productive you are. Regional manager doesn't treat all stores budgets the same. If you are sacred cow you get low monthly goals to hit if you are not a sacred cow you get 30-50% higher monthly bonuses. If you are a female or African American you are allowed not to hit budget and are praised all the time when other managers aren't hitting numbers the are held accountable and ridiculed in front of everyone. Store manager that does not hit budget and been with the company for so called 11 years isn't held accountable for his n Lack of numbers or for his people cheering for no reason but to be heard."

"Inept personnel, from store staff to corporate management. Impossible expectations from people who know next to nothing about how the installation is performed, to the point of argumentative. Avoid these carpet baggers.None come to mindDon't get me started"

"Customer complaints come in via phone non-stop for your entire shift. Stressful job! Customers will cuss you out, and management and human resources will NOT have your back, even if hey say they will. Will find a reason to terminate employees and for no good reason. Horrible place to work! You "might" succeed and enjoy working here if you are "friends" with upper management or human resources and they "likes" you. Management Team is the WORST!Decent BenefitsBackstabbers, brown nosers, non-stop customer complaints"

"this place is so unprofessional, horrible management , high daily turn over and poor training. Management does not lead by example and they act as though they are all for employees but they are not. The customers are so mean and nasty which makes job overwhelming and stressful"

"I've been employed for 30 years of my life and this is by far the worst company and corporate structure that I have ever had the displeasure of working for. Absolutely nothing that you are told in your interview is true with the exception of the obvious selling of flooring products. If you make the mistake of ever working for this company please don't think that youman resources will do anything more then find excuses for the horrible company culture that this organization has adapted."

"I tried my best and worked as hard as I could. Their pay was not enough to support my family yet we made them a billion dollars and the relocated and left us behind. Those that did follow ultimately trained their replacements in the new location so they wouldn't have to worry about the 160 miles a day transportation they promised that they would provide.fellow employeeseverything else"

"Horrible work environment, run down facility, forced to work in extreme temperatures due to age of facility. Lack of upper management support with staffing . No technology to control shrink. Had to deal with ramifications of past lawsuits almost daily."

"The whole company is basically a series of shady back room deals. I've seen managers yell and scream at their bosses and nothing happens. I've seen corporate come in and tell managers how to do their job, the manager says no, and corporate is just like meh whatever we don't really care anyway. You can do everything right and still be wrong but you won't suck up to the right people. It's disgusting and at least in Maryland every employee should be ashamed."

"If you’re looking to make work your life and dont ever wanna see your family this is the right place for you because they will make work your life my son had surgery and the district manager was upset that I wasnt on a conference call I was in the hospital with my child really? The crazy thing is my boss was supposed to be on the call and he wasnt"

"Company was great and I loved working here up until a year ago when upper management changed and I watched the sales department turn into a comedy show. They also did away with commission and demotivated the entire sales department. They forced all of the good sales reps to quit."

"I worked for this company a year and it was an awful experience. My position was ASM1 and the only good thing about my store was my manager at the store. We had very little business at my location and alot of that came from nobody knowing we were there. Upper management doesn't care about employees.Laid backEveything else"

"No formal training with unorganized chaos! As soon as you start getting the system the store manager is always looking for ways to leave work just because they make 50k a year on salary.Pay rate is $16 for assistant managers,$15 for assistant manager 2"

"Hard labor, aggressive sales plans, often understaffed to support constant walk in customers. Very customer focused but employees are not paid what they’re worth and people are not held accountable."

Store, Sales Manager (Former Employee) says

"As Manager of multiple stores over 3 years, I have concluded that Lumber Liquidators can not be honest and do not care about either their customers or employees. If you make manager, the pay can be good but most of that pay is bonus based and that figure is based solely on a made up sales figure for your store, not hard figures or percentages. If you luck out and exceed low goals you can make six figures. If you get an extreme goal, you are poor. If you are not a manager, you make squat. A manager that misses goal by a few dollars and works the hours expected of them, you could end up making under minimum wage."

"Got roped in on this somehow, they started me off by saying oh man you will be making 14+ an hour and you get big monthly bonuses, I made a little over 13 and didn't receive but one bonus. I worked there for since Jan and the first two bonuses (which were large) i wasn't qualified to receive. The first bonus i got was 76 bucks, which hey money is nice but given how much sales i had been doing (which they dont tell you upfront) that even though you are a manager you pretty much are just a salesman with no extra commission and required to do more than more salesmen (but get paid less). Worked there for a few months and they surprise me with all of these sudden requirements to "work" there. Which were not established upon hiring or heck even within my first 2 months of working there. And after working there and doing my job adequately for the last 3 months they give me deadlines to fix things which are not reasonable or tell me they are forced to find someone else. Also with the recent tariff they raised the prices of all the products not just the things being tariffed and expected us to sale even more. It explains why they were unaccredited by the BBB."

"Terrible work atmosphere....the worst I have ever experienced., Terrible management except for district manager..,.very low life sales people who are pushed to the max for production, and pay is very low for the industrynoneterrible products, bad managers, no air conditioning in warehouse, poor pay."

"DO NOT USE LUMBER LIQUIDATORS FLOORING, WORST COMPANY TO HAVE FOR INSTALLs and the product are horrible they dont guarantee the products and give you a hard time in getting the damages taken care of. This is concerning the work I paid for through lumber liquidators flooring company. I paid for flooring & installation for half a house & the service I received has been non but horrible. The first time I had the company come out they were good and kind but the work I got was not what I expected. They used glue to lay the flooring down, they damaged some of the products and used my products to repair the problem not their own. I wanted the flooring to go very close to the wall and told them I will remove the floor trim and they told me they will take care of it but when the work was done, none of what I asked was done & the work is far past the 1/4 inch distance from the wall. There are large gaps & mistake cut all through the house. The second time they came out to fix the problems they where not resolved and they used all of my stuff plus damages to my subfloor was made. So now the floor looks worst, there is glue all over the floor and my bathroom tiles have been ripped up and the floor peeled back so now I have to pay extra for damages down by lumber Liquidators’s working. I am very upset and PO’ed about the finished work, the damages to the other flooring in my house and the bugs lift in my house I have to clean out bc they kept the doors open to lay the floor down. I’m not impressed and I don’t recommend this company for anything from flooring to installation bc it’s all about the cost and not the work. DONT USE THIS COMPANY"
